Terms of Use

Last updated 18 August 2026

These terms apply to your use of this website, operated by DCL Surveying & Mapping, LLC. Using the site means you accept them.

This site is not a survey

Everything on this website is general information about the services we offer. It is not a boundary determination, not a survey, not a map you can rely on, and not professional advice about your property.

Only a survey prepared for your specific property and sealed by a licensed professional land surveyor can tell you where your boundaries are. Nothing here substitutes for one, and nothing here should be relied on in a transaction, an application, or a dispute.

Sending the form does not engage us

Submitting the survey request form starts a conversation. It does not create a contract, does not engage us to perform work, and does not create a professional or client relationship.

Work begins only when we have agreed a written scope of services and fee with you, and you have accepted it. Until then, nothing has been commissioned on either side.

What you send us

Only send documents you have the right to send. Deeds, prior surveys, site plans and title documents often carry the rights of somebody else, and we rely on you having the authority to pass them on.

By attaching a document, you confirm you may share it with us and that we may use it for the purpose of scoping and, if we are engaged, performing the survey.

Do not send anything unlawful, anything containing malicious code, or anything you would not want held on an ordinary business record.

Using the site

You may read this site, print it, and share links to it. You may not attempt to break it, overload it, scrape it at volume, probe it for weaknesses, or use the form to send unsolicited or automated messages.

We limit how often the form can be submitted from one source. That is a defence against abuse, not a comment on you.

Our material

The text, layout, photographs and logo on this site belong to us or are used with permission. The company name and logo are ours. You may not present our material as yours, and you may not use our name or logo to suggest an association or endorsement that does not exist.

Accuracy and availability

We try to keep this site correct and current, but we do not warrant that it is free of errors or that it will always be available. Service areas, capabilities and descriptions can change without the site changing the same day.

The site is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Connecticut law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of this website, or from relying on information published here rather than commissioning a survey.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited, including our professional obligations on work we are actually engaged to perform.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes belong to the state or federal courts sitting in Connecticut.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised version.
